Alpen Outdoor Corporation
Alpen's new waterproof, nitrogen filled Apex binoculars feature phase correction, fully multi-coated BaK4 glass, and twist lock eyecups. This year also includes two new models in Mossy Oak® camo, and the line comes in the following magnification levels: 8x32, 8.5x50, 8x42, and 10x42. The value line of Shasta Ridge binoculars come in the following magnification levels: 8x42 and 10x42. The Alpen 2004 lineup also includes new spotting scopes and riflescopes.

Burris
Burris' new Signature Select riflescopes feature a power ring with deep relief grooves for a more firm grip, while the lense offers 3 1/2" to 4" of eye relief. The line comes in the following magnification levels: 1.75x5, 1.5x6, 3x10, 3x12, 4x16, 6x24, and 8x32. Burris also offers the Signature series image-stabilizing binoculars, as well as its B-1500 laser rangefinding (accurate to 1500 yards) and Landmark® II binoculars. The Landmark binoculars are shorter and lighter this year. The Ballistic Plex, Ballistic Mil-Dot and Lighted Reticles are also featured on several models.

Bushnell
Bushnell has expanded the number of scopes offering the Firefly reticle. The 2–6x32 handgun scope and a 5–15x40 rifle scope now feature the glowing reticle technology. The digital binocular line has expanded as well with five new models. Features include up to 2.1 megapixels, 16 MB of internal memory, software, an LCD screen, and movie playback.
Bushnell's line of night vision scopes includes the new waterproof Prowler series, while the Guardian Night Vision scope has a new, smaller design, making it ideal for one-handed operation. It also includes an adjustable 2x eyepiece and 24mm objective lense. The Yardage Pro Legend now features RainGuard, making it 100 percent waterproof. Bushnell also announced a licensing agreement with Browning to offer a new Browning Sports Optics line in 2004.

Leupold & Stevens, Inc.
Leupold has replaced the popular Vari–X III line with the new VX–III, featuring a lens coating system that maximizes light transmission to the eye and the new Ballistic Aiming System™ reticle. The VX-III comes in the following magnification levels: 1.5-5x20mm, 1.75-6x32mm, 2.5-8x36mm, 3.5-10x40mm, 3.5-10x50mm, 4.5-14x40mm, 4.5-14x50mm, 6.5-20x40mm, 6.5-20x50mm and 8.5-25x50mm.

Steiner Binoculars
Steiner is adding two new models to the Predator line of binoculars in the following magnification levels: 8.5x26 and 10.5x28. These binoculars feature the Predator lens coating which blocks the colors of haze and foliage while enhancing browns, reds, and other wildlife colors. Priced under $300, these are sure to be a hit with hunters. Steiner also has new a 10x32 Merlin roof-prism binocular. Prices start around $450.

Carl Zeiss Optical, Inc.
Carl Zeiss has added waterproof, roof-prism binoculars to its Conquest line in the following magnification levels: 8x30, 10x30, 12x45, and 15x45. These rubber-armored binoculars feature phase correction, lockable eyecups, and are very lightweight at 16 to 20 ounces.
