Description
Chetco has two trails that are open for use by Class III vehicles:
The Chetco Gorge Trail follows gentle grades as it runs along the upper Chetco River northeast of Brookings. Picnic and camp spots are located at the end of the trail, and a few notable swimming and fishing holes can be found at the mouth of Eagle Creek.
Note: Do not attempt to ford the Chetco River during high-water periods. The best time to cross the river is during low-water periods from late spring to early fall.
The wooded Chimney Camp Trail is southeast of Brookings and runs along the Winchuck River.

There are no fees at this location.
Facilities
Parking is available. Additional facilities are not available at this location.
Trail Use
Open to Class III vehicles. Certain parts of the trail may require fording of the Chetco River.
