She Dog by MirrOlure
The She Dog by MirrOlure busted onto the saltwater scene back in the early Fall of 2001. It is the "sister" so to speak of the Top Dog Jr. by MirrOlure. The dual chamber, double bearing feature is different to the single chamber and single bearing of the Top Dog Jr.
This dual chamber produces some extremely loud "fish calling" thumps. Its streamlined body has excellent castiblity in any wind conditions. The buoyancy and the ride of the lure on the water is unlike any topwater lure I've ever fished. The most productive method of retrieval technique for this lure has been super fast and highly erratic. The speckled trout and redfish come completely uncorked on this lure while working it this way. A six foot to seven foot rod with a fast tip works this lure the best for this technique.
It's definitely a lure to have in your number one wading or tackle box. The only negative that I have found with the bait is the clear coat. The chipping and peeling seems to differ from that of the Top Dog Jr. This being the only drawback of the lure, in which a can of spray paint or an artists' touch of creativity with an airbrush can easily fix, we rate the She Dog as follows:
